About me

I am a postdoctoral scholar in low temperature geochemistry with Xiaoming Liu. My research is highly interdisciplinary and collaborative, and uses geochemistry, sedimentology and numerical modeling to investigate variations in modern and ancient biogeochemical cycles at multiple spatiotemporal scales. Studying the geochemistry of sediments, including their mineral and organic constituents, is at the heart of all my research projects: 1) I apply and develop geochemical proxies from fluvial sediments to study the impact of climate variations on the dynamic of ancient fluvial systems, 2) I use detrital zircon geochemical database to reconstruct changes in the chemical composition of continental silicates and its impact on long term seawater chemistry, 3) I use the strontium isotopic signature of rocks to track the provenance of animals and materials on the Earth’s surface and 4) I use geochemistry of petroleum source rocks to assess hydrocarbon charge in unconventional plays.
