B.S., Geological Sciences, University of Michigan, 2010

For my Master's I'm working with Dr. Donna Surge on Pliocene climate along the mid US Atlantic coast. To understand the climate change that occurred during the epoch we are comparing the growth rates of fossil hard clams with those alive today, as well as working on using oxygen isotopes to get information about seasonality out of our shells. In addition to this work, I'm currently teaching laboratory sections of Introductory Geology and a 100-level class called Prehistoric Life (which is awesome because I get to talk about dinosaurs).

My activities include cutting and obtaining clams, checking NextBus, riding the bus, enjoying the balmy weather, and being generally frustrated by U of M athletics.
