As an undergraduate, my project focus was loess sequence deposition in the mid-east China and the relationship with records of warm-cold and wet-dry climate history of East Asia.

I’m currently working with Larry Benninger on a new project that studies lead deposition in ombrotrophic peat bogs in North Carolina. Peat can be found in swamps, pocosins, marshes or the Carolina Bay area. We will mainly focus on Pb isotope records in the peat and 210Pb dating. I will work on getting high resolution results and reconstructing environmental history in the last one or two hundred years in North Carolina.

In general, my hobbies range from travelling and seeing wildlife to drawing and playing piano. Also, I have Chinese Checkers Certification, so I welcome you to come and play a game with me.
